Recent tragedies?
Have you noticed all of the atrocities perpetrated against children lately?. Of course we have had many tragic killings at school in the last couple of weeks. The most recent and shocking last week at an Amish school. Also dominating the news is the recent sex scandal involving former Senator Foley and underage Pages. There is at least strong circumstantial evidence incriminating this elected official with trying to solicit sex from underage boys.
What is happening here astrologically?. The sign of Virgo is ruled by a young girl. It is the only sign of the zodiac that is directly ruled by a child or directly signified by a child. The other Mercury ruled sign, Gemini, is related to a certain childlike behavior and playfulness. The symbol of Gemini is a macho man and a feminine woman relating to each other. The Sanskrit word for Gemini is “Maithuna”, “the couple”. This word directly refers to sex as well. Yet Virgo is known as “Kanya” in Sanskrit: Young girl. The sign of Virgo is one of purity, delicate sensitivity and chastity. The ancient Rishis (sages) realized the symbol of a young virgin girl best express this energy. Venus is related to young girls, Mars is related to young boys — specifically. When making prediction about what the sex of a child will be, the presence of Venus usually indicates a girl, the presence of Mars indicates a boy.
As I wrote last week, we have several difficult planets in the sign of Virgo right now. Venus and Mars are both combust, which leads to anger over not feeling respected and valued. Additionally, Venus is debilitated. Ketu is there as well, giving explosive tendencies, in Uttar Phalguni related to official contracts and business, especially government business. The Sun is the planet of authority, especially imposing and powerful authorities such as governments. Traditionally the Sun is the King. We do not have a King anymore we have central government where this kingly power is dispersed.
How incredibly shocking and astrologically accurate that these last two attacks on children included a government official and young girls exclusively. The Amish killings were all pereptrated against young girls.

Here is a recent message i sent on relationship astrology
Moon sign shows what you are the most comfortable with emotionally and what you are receptive to. In general this has a lot to do with the type of partner you will seek for emotional satisfaction and the style of relating you would like to have with them.
As for sex - Venus will generally show our sexual style and what feels good sensually (through all of the senses BTW - not just sex) . Hopefully, the Moon and Venus will be having similar affectations otherwise a person’s sexuality will pull them in a direction they are not comfortable with emotionally, etc. (sound familiar?)
A very passionate venus and a very sensitive, emotional Moon will be having a little war over sensual and emotional intimacy.
HOWEVER,
Venus is the planet of sexual attraction and beauty (more important for woment) the power to ATTRACT
Mars is the planet of sexual expression and force (more important for men) the power to EXPRESS
Now settle down, i know women also express and men also attract — i said MORE IMPORTANT, meaning women generally adorn themselves to attract a mate - men make themselves to be tough and courageous generally — Then there are gay couples also — but in general the planet of feminine sexuality is Venus, attracting - the planet of masculine sexuality is mars, conquest and animal vitality
So here again, the mars and venus within US can also be harmonious or in conflict –
A person may have the moon in libra, venus is Cancer and mars in sagittarius. let’s say
Moon in libra likes a balanced emotional style and relationship nature - not too extreme. Yet Venus in cancer will bond intensely and emotionally through sex and sensual pleasure. Mars in Sagittarius will express this with idealism, diversity and raw power (dual fire sign) - actively pursuing fulfillment in many ways and maybe through many partners. Thus the emotional attachments through sex (formed by venus in Cancer) and the forceful, varied nature of mars in sagittarius may disrupt their deeper emotionally balanced need as shown by Moon in libra. They may pursue many different sensual experiences through which to merge emotionally which takes them out of the balanced style of relating that makes them comfortable as shown by Moon in Libra.
Libra is a sign that seeks to honor the wishes of others equal to our own — these other placements would disrupt that wish.
Also their Mars and Venus are in conflict — it is hard to merge emotionally with numerous partners — this is why the 6/8 assoiation i hard to manage — Also the Moon/Venus are in squares, again this is why squares are hard to manage - similar energy but different feeling.
Assessing these things and their relationships to each other in an individual chart and then between two charts is what relationship astrology is all about.
