It is usually less than 1 degree of arc. Since the nodes are less than 1 degree of arc now from changing signs - o have just hanged signs, we are seeing it now. This is a slow transit,, it has to do with the speed of the planet and how fast it makes up that difference. The asendant usually covers the difference in a matter of minutes, the moon in a matter of hours,, but 1 degree of arc for saturn takes more than a week, same with the nodes. The main differences seen in the ayanamsha is shown by the dasa cyles, the vargas and the ascendant,, sometimes the moon also if it is at the end or beginning of a nakshatra. good question george,
