Venus and Mars has been exchanging signs for about a week and will continue this exchange through most of next week. When planets exchange signs they agree to work together. This is very significant because every planet except Saturn is in either Scorpio or Libra, the signs were Mars and Venus are exchanging. Issues of self will and independents are being merged with compromise and diplomacy at this time. The emergence of a highly sensual nature may be the battleground. Wanting to fulfill our own desires yet having to compromise with the equally demanding desires of others will be a major theme. Yet within this general feeling, our ideals and teachings are at stake (Jupiter), our personal identity and self-respect are at stake (Sun) our reliance upon information and skills are at stake (Mercury). Making this more complicated is the issue of combustion. Venus and Mars have been combust for months, now, Jupiter is about to be combust for about a month. We will have four combust planets very soon and for several weeks. This will make for a high level of touchiness and irritability around feeling respected (Venus) — feeling independent and powerful (Mars) — trusting our ethics and principles (Jupiter) and being able to communicate effectively (Mercury)

On October 10, I wrote:

When Ketu and Saturn hit the sign of Leo, (October 20) expect there to be a major shakeup in the landed power in the world. That can mean in this country, in other countries, at work — you name it,.. The prediction I made about a congressional overturn and upheaval also seems more and more likely with this latest Republican scandal.

Well here we are on the other side of this election and a major shakeup has happened. As I wrote in-depth months ago, Jupiter in Scorpio will insist upon accountability to those we have been lenient of. Scorpio is the sign of change and even death. This combined with both Saturn and the South node in Leo, the sign of the King, was a pretty clear indicator that a major shakeup was about to happen. Besides all of the diplomatic overtures since this election, expect some major differences to emerge quickly. Already the Democratic control Congress is talking about raising the minimum wage. You can be sure other Major policy initiatives will not be far behind. Additionally, leaders all around the globe are susceptible to fall from power and even assassination. Almost every powerful world leader from a couple of years ago has seen their power curtailed. Of course here at home, George Bush and his entire party has been whacked. Tony Blair has seen his power wane a minuscule level, yet more marginalized powers have been on the rise: most notably, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela.
